From Martians repopulating Earth to fighting off Tree Ents and discovering dimension portals, our first BORED KNIGHT concluded in a spectacular ending when the Frost Shepherds arrived! Come join us in the next session, using the Quiet Year as a template for the next topic: Climate Apocalypse!
BORED KNIGHT is a monthly get-together with the GUILD community exploring concepts in unique Board & Card games. More than just mere entertainment, these games offer a different persective on how gamification, cooperative/competitive values and role-playing can inspire or benefit gamers as a whole.
THE QUIET YEAR
The Quiet Year is a 2-3 hour map game that players have to define their post-apocalyptic community and attempt to survive till winter. Gamers must build up their community while facing diasaster situations and conflicts, gathering resources and solving disputes to survive through winter. Through this unique roleplaying game, gamers in The Quiet Year have a clear mission to survive and its difficulty depends much on how gamers would want to shape their game.
For this session of The Quiet Year, we will be focusing on extreme temperatures, food scarcity and natural disasters. Imagine a world plunged into the apocalypse from gaia's wrath, and surviving communities strive for a year to restart their population and prevail from the inevitable. From your own imagination, discover new events shaped by the post-apocalypse, and construct projects to rebuild a world from devastation, and prepare for the Frost Shepards to decide your fate!
BORED KNIGHT will be held at MOX Katong Point 451 Joo Chiat Rd, 427664, near 112 Katong Mall. You can catch bus 16 from City Hall or Dakota MRT.
Finger food, snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout BORED KNIGHT.
